1 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 tsp. water
3 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt

This is a cookie cutter recipe. Thoroughly cream butter, sugar, vanilla. Add egg and water. Beat until light and fluffy. Combine flour, baking powder, and salt and blend into the creamed mixture. Divide dough into about 4 to 5 small balls and chill 1 hour. When dough is ready, take one ball at a time and roll to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. (If using 2 1/2 inch cutters, will probably get about 6 dozen cookies. If using the larger cutters you probably will get about 3 dozen cookies.) Bake on cookie sheet at 375 degrees about 6 to 8 minutes.
