DANISH SWEET ROLLS 
4 pkg. yeast
1 c. warm water
1 tbsp. sugar
1 c. milk
3 c. flour
1/3 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. flour
2 tsp. vanilla

Mix yeast, warm water and sugar in medium size bowl, add milk and flour. In large bowl cream shortening, salt, sugar, vanilla and eggs, add yeast mixture to this, add last 3 cups of flour. Let rise 1 1/2 hours. Roll into a rectangle, spread with 1/2 cube of butter, fold in half and let rise 1/2 hour. Roll out again, spread with another half cube of butter, fold in half, cut into 1 inch wide strips, twist and form pinwheels. Let rise double, bake 12-15 minutes in 400 degree oven, or hot oven.

FROSTING FOR DANISH:

1 cube butter
1/3 c. milk

Add enough powdered sugar to make a light frosting, add vanilla to taste. Mix with mixer. Frost Danish, sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
