SQUASH AND APPLE BAKE 
2 lbs. butternut or buttercup squash, cored and 1/2 inch sliced
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. butter, melted
1 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. mace
2 baking apples

350 degree oven.

Cut squash in half; seed and pare, cut into 1/2 inch slices.

Stir together remaining ingredients except apples.

Arrange squash in 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 dish. Top with apple slices. Sprinkle sugar mixture on top; cover with foil. Bake 50-60 minutes until squash is tender.
