SWEET PICKLE STICKS 
Use fresh firm medium cucumbers. Wash and cut them into sticks. Pour boiling water over them and let stand until cool (4-5 hours). Drain and pack solidly into sterilized jars.

Make a solution of: 3 c. sugar 3 tbsp. salt 4 1/2 tsp. celery seed 4 1/2 tsp. turmeric 3/4 tsp. mustard seed

Boil the solution for 5 minutes. Pour boiling hot over cucumbers to within 1/2- inch of top of jar. Put on cap firmly tight. Process in boiling water 5 minutes. Makes 6-7 pints.
