SWEET PICKLE CUCUMBER STICKS 
Use fresh, firm medium cucumbers. Wash and cut into quarter lengths. Pour boiling water over cucumbers and let stand overnight. Next morning, pack solidly into clean jars.

3 3/4 c. vinegar
3 tbsp. salt, not iodized
4 1/2 tsp. turmeric
3 c. sugar
4 1/2 tsp. celery seed
3/4 tsp. mustard seed

Boil 5 minutes. Pour hot solution over cucumbers and seal. Makes 6 pints.
