HOT MULLED CIDER 
1 qt. apple cider
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. whole allspice or 1/4 tsp. ground allspice
1/2 tsp. whole cloves
1/8 tsp. salt
Dash ground nutmeg
1 1/2 inch stick cinnamon
1/4 c. brandy (optional)

Heat all together, adding brandy just before removing from heat.
