AMISH FRIENDSHIP BREAD 
2 c. flour
2 c. warm water
1/4 c. sugar
1 env. yeast

Mix all above in a plastic or glass container and let stand in a warm place overnight (cover should be tight). Do not use any metal utensils. Do not refrigerate. Leave container lid slightly open.

Day 1: Do nothing

Day 2: Stir once with non metal spoon

Day 3: Stir once with non metal spoon

Day 4: Stir once with non metal spoon

Day 5: Add 1 cup milk, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup flour and mix

Day 6: Stir once with non metal spoon

Day 7: Stir once with non metal spoon

Day 8: Stir once with non metal spoon

Day 9: Stir once with non metal spoon

Day 10: Add 1 cup milk, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup flour and mix

Pour off 1 cup mixture into each of 3 containers, give to 3 friends.

To remaining mixture add: 2 c. flour 1 c. sugar 1 1/4 tsp. baking powder 3 eggs 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 3/4 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp. baking soda 1 c. nuts and/or raisins (opt.)

Mix batter, pour into 2 well greased loaf pans (do not use glass pans). Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
