AMISH FRIENDSHIP BREAD 
Do not use metal spoon! Do not refrigerate! Use plain flour!

Day 1: Receive starter dough from a friend, do nothing. Days 2-3-4: stir starter with wooden spoon. Day 5: add the following in the order listed, stir well with wooden spoon, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup milk, 1 cup flour. Move to large air tight container.

Days 6-7-8-9: stir with wooden spoon. Day 10: add the following and stir well with wooden spoon, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup milk, 1 cup flour. Mix well. Pour 1 cup of expanded starter into 2 containers and give to 2 friends with a copy of these directions for their starter. Keep 1 cup of mix to begin starter again.

To the remaining cup of starter add:

3/4 c. oil
2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon (optional
1 box instant vanilla pudding
1 c. chopped nuts

You may also add 1 cup fruit of your choice. Mix well, add nuts last. Pour mixture into 2 well greased and sugared loaf pans or make 2 dozen muffins. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan.
