MEATBALLS WITH TOMATO SAUCE 
2 lbs. ground beef
1 med. onion, finely chopped
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
Pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. bread crumbs

Combine all ingredients, adding more bread crumbs, if needed. Make small meatballs. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet and cook meatballs over moderate heat until browned on all sides. Remove from skillet and drain off all grease. Add 3 cans tomato sauce to skillet, then add meatballs and cook for 1 hour.
