PICKLED MUSHROOMS 
1 1/4 lbs. fresh mushrooms, rinsed
1 med. Bermuda or Spanish onion, sliced into rings
2/3 c. white vinegar
1/2 c. salad oil
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
Dash freshly ground pepper
Dash hot pepper sauce
Pinch parsley flakes
Pinch sweet basil

Combine all ingredients. Boil 3 minutes. This recipe can be doubled.
