POPPY SEED DRESSING 
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. vinegar
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1 c. salad oil
1 tbsp. poppy seeds

Put first 5 ingredients in small bowl and blend well with electric mixer. Add oil, a little at a time, beating well after each addition. As oil is added, mixture should thicken. Stir in poppy seeds. This dressing will keep almost indefinitely in the refrigerator.

Good on any salad, but especially so on fruit salads.
