BLACK FOREST CAKE | |
1 box chocolate fudge or devils food cake mix 1 (21 oz.) cherry pie filling 2 eggs, beaten FROSTING: 1 c. sugar 5 tbsp. butter 1/3 c. evaporated milk 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate bits Combine all ingredients. Mix at low speed until blended. Mix at medium speed for 30 seconds. Pour into greased, floured pan. Bake at 375 degrees about 45 to 60 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean. Cool 10 to 15 minutes only. FROSTING: Melt chocolate bits with butter in heavy pan over low heat. Combine sugar and milk, bring to a boil over low heat, stirring constantly. Add chocolate bits, stirring over low heat until smooth. Pour hot frosting over warm cake. Garnish with whip cream and Maraschino cherry. |
