EXTRA SPECIAL ROLLS 
2 pkg. yeast
3 tbsp. warm water
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. melted shortening
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. warm water
4 to 4 1/2 c. flour

Dissolve yeast in 3 tablespoons warm water for 5 minutes. In large bowl, place sugar, shortening, salt, eggs, and 1 cup warm water. Add yeast and 2 cups flour. Beat well. Add 2 cups flour; mix well. Place 1/2 cup flour on board; place dough on board.

Knead 5 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in buttered bowl; cover and let set until doubled. Shape into rolls, when doubled bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
