1 c. shortening
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. peanut butter (smooth or chunky)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 tsp. water
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. flour

Cream butter, sugar, eggs, water, peanut butter and vanilla good. Add dry ingredients which have been sifted together. Roll in balls in palm of hands size of pecans. Press with fork or palm of hand.

Bake on ungreased cookie sheet in 350 degree oven until golden brown, about 10 minutes.
