PEPPER STEAK | |
1 lb. round steak 1/4 c. butter 1 clove garlic, minced 1/2 c. soy sauce 1 c. instant beef broth 3 to 4 tbsp. cornstarch 1/2 c. water 1 box Rice-A-Roni beef flavor 4 to 5 green onions, sliced 1 sm. bell pepper, sliced in strips Cut steak in strips, melt butter in large skillet with garlic. Add meat. Cook until brown on both sides. Add soy sauce and beef broth. Cover, cook on low about 45 minutes or until tender. Make rice according to package. Mix cornstarch with water. Add to steak. Stir and cook until sauce is thick and clear. Add green onion and bell pepper. Cover and steam about 3 minutes or until onion and pepper are tender. Serve over rice. |
