PEANUT BLOSSOM COOKIES 
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. peanut butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. light brown sugar
1 egg
2 tbsp. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
Hershey's chocolate kisses

Sift together flour, soda and salt. Cream together shortening and peanut butter. Gradually add sugar, brown sugar, creaming well. Add unbeaten egg, milk and vanilla. Blend in the dry ingredients gradually. Mix thoroughly.

Shape into balls, roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes. Remove from oven and place a Hershey's kiss on top of each cookie, pressing down so that each cookie cracks around the edge.
