BEEF AND NOODLES | |
1/2 lb. egg noodles 3 tbsp. butter 1 lg. onion, finely chopped 1 tsp. garlic powder 1 lb. ground beef or turkey 1 c. tomato sauce Salt and pepper 1/2 c. parsley, chopped 1/4 tsp. oregano 1 c. cottage cheese 1 c. sour cream 1/4 c. chives, chopped 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese, shredded Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook noodles to package directions. Reserve. Heat butter in skillet and saute until golden. Sprinkle with garlic powder. Add beef; cook until done. Add tomato sauce, salt, pepper, parsley, and oregano. Cover and cook over low heat 5 minutes. Blend noodles with cottage cheese and sour cream by hand. Stir in chives. Place half the noodle mixture in bottom of greased casserole dish. Add beef mixture and top with remaining noodles. Sprinkle with cheese and bake for 20 minutes or until cheese is hot and bubbly. 6-8 servings. |
