MELT - IN - MOUTH COOKIES 
3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. packed light brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. finely chopped nuts (I used pecans)

Stir together flour and baking powder; set aside. In large bowl, beat butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Beat in flour mixture until smooth. Stir in nuts.

Drop by level measuring teaspoonfuls 2-inches apart on non-stick cookie sheets. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven 5-6 minutes or until flat and lightly browned. Remove from oven; cool 1 minute.

Remove carefully (cookies will be soft) with thin metal spatula to wire racks. Cool completely. Store loosely covered in dry place. Makes 72.
