KENTUCKY POUND CAKE | |
2 1/2 c. self-rising flour 2 c. sugar 1 1/4 c. vegetable oil 1 c. crushed pineapple, drained (reserve juice) 4 egg yolks 2 tbsp. hot water 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 4 egg whites, stiffly beaten Combine all ingredients in order given except nuts and egg whites. Beat well. Add nuts and fold in egg whites. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes. |
