NEVER FAIL REFRIGERATOR ROLLS 
6 c. sifted flour (sift and measure)

Set aside. Then, combine in saucepan and scald: (not boil) 1/2 c. shortening (Crisco)

Set off to cool. In warm water dissolve 2 packages dry yeast. Let stand 5 minutes, then stir to dissolve. When milk is cool enough, add 1 teaspoon salt and yeast, then gradually beat in flour.

6 c. sifted flour (sift and measure)
2 c. milk
1/2 c. shortening (Crisco)
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar

Set flour aside. Combine milk and shortening and sugar in a saucepan and scald (not boil). Set off to cool. In approximately 1/2 cup of warm water, pour the yeast in and let stand for 5 minutes, then stir to dissolve. When milk is cool enough, add salt and yeast, then gradually beat in flour. Turn out and knead gently until smooth. Place dough in a greased bowl. Cover and let rise in a warm place until double. Punch down and take out what you need. Roll out 1/2 inch thick and cut in strips, then in 1 1/2 inch pieces. Place three strips in each tin, dipping each one in melted butter first. Let rise until double again. Bake in preheated oven at 325 to 350 degrees.
