PECAN COOKIES (Cocoons) 
2 c. butter
5 tbsp. sugar
2 c. flour, sifted
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. chopped pecans
Powdered sugar

Cream butter and sugar. Add flour then fold in vanilla and pecans. Roll into balls or shape into small oblong bars. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly brown. Cool, then roll in powdered sugar. Yields about 3 dozen.
