BEEF BAVARIAN ON RICE 
1 lb. sirloin steak, thinly sliced
1 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1 1/2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1 med. onion, sliced
12 oz. can beer
1/2 c. beef broth
1/8 tsp. hot red pepper sauce
2 tsp. brown sugar
3 lg. carrots, sliced
3 c. hot cooked rice

Tenderize steak or pound until thin. Cut into 2 x 1 inch strips. Blend cornstarch, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Coat meat with seasoned cornstarch. Brown meat in oil. Add onion. Cook 2 to 3 minute longer. Stir in beef, broth, pepper sauce and brown sugar. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, cover, and simmer 15 minutes. Add carrots and cook 15 minutes longer or until meat is tender. Spoon over rice. Makes 4 servings.
