BOY SCOUT GOULASH 
Fry one slice of bacon until crisp. Remove bacon from skillet and use the grease to saute 1 medium onion, sliced, and 1 green pepper, sliced.

Add 1 pound of lean ground round beef and brown. Stir in 1 can condensed vegetable soup. Simmer for 15 minutes. Dot the top with grated cheddar cheese and the crumbled bacon slice and brown slightly in oven. Or, if desired, cover the casserole with seasoned mashed potatoes and then top with the cheese and bacon bits. Brown under broiler and serve. Makes 4-6 servings.
