BLONDIES 
1 c. butter
2 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. salt
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. nuts, chopped (optional)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 2 inch pan. In mixing bowl, melt butter. Add rest of ingredients with flour last. Stir until flour is just blended. Pour into pan. Bake 25-30 minutes.
