BLONDIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces
3/4 c. walnuts, chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 13 x 9 inch baking pan. In 4-quart pan over low heat, melt butter. Remove from heat. Stir in sugar and eggs.

Beat until blended; stir in next 4 ingredients. Fold in chocolate. Spread into pan. Sprinkle walnuts over. Bake 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
