1 c. sugar
1 can condensed milk
3 tbsp. butter
1 c. of walnuts or pecans
1 tsp. vanilla

Add all ingredients except vanilla flavoring. Melt all, stirring constantly, bring to boil and cook for 10 to 15 minutes. Continue stirring the whole time or it will stick or burn. After 10 to 15 minutes of cooking, remove from heat and add vanilla. Have buttered dish or platter ready. Pour and spread.
