BARBECUED RIBS 
4 lbs. pork spareribs
1 pouch onion soup mix
3/4 c. chili sauce
1/3 c. honey
2 lg. cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. ground ginger

Place ribs in large Dutch oven, cutting to fit. Cover with water; simmer at least 1 hour or until tender, covered. Meanwhile, in a 1 quart saucepan, stir together remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 5 minutes. Drain ribs. Place on rack in roasting pan. Spoon 1/2 the sauce over ribs. Bake at 400 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes or until ribs are well glazed, turning a few times and basting with sauce. May also be put on barbecue instead of the oven, following same instructions.
