MEXICAN STRING BEANS 
1 minced onion
2 tbsp. bacon fat
2 tbsp. flour
2 c. canned tomatoes
1 green pepper, chopped
1 pt. canned string beans
Liquid drained from beans
1 tsp. salt
1/3 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. sugar

Cook onion until golden in bacon fat. Stir in flour, mix until smooth. Add tomatoes, green pepper, and bean liquid and boil. Add remaining ingredients and heat thoroughly.
