NO FAIL FUDGE 
3 sm. pkgs. Nestle's chocolate bits
4 1/2 c. sugar
1 can Pet milk
1/2 lb. butter
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. nuts (optional)

Cook milk, sugar, cream of tartar on fairly high heat. Stir constantly until it bubbles (not rolling boil). Time for 6 minutes. First cut up butter in a large bowl with chocolate bits. Pour mixture over butter and chocolate bits. Stir in vanilla. Add nuts. Beat well and pour into a large greased pan. Let set in refrigerator until well set before cutting.
