1/2 c. butter or shortening
2 c. powdered sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 sq. melted bitter chocolate
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugar thoroughly. Beat egg and melted chocolate. Add vanilla. Spread on cake.
