BANANA SOUR CREAM COFFEE CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 c. mashed bananas
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. sour cream
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Oven 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Cream butter, add sugar gradually. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add mashed bananas, vanilla, sour cream. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt. Fold until blended. Combine nuts, 1/4 cup sugar, and cinnamon.

Sprinkle half of nut mixture in well greased 6 1/2 cup pan. Spoon on half of batter. Sprinkle in remaining nuts and cover with batter. Cool cake on rack 10 minutes. Turn out and complete cooling. Store in foil.
