BACON BURGERS 
5 slices bacon, cut into halves
1 lb. ground beef
1 egg
1/4 c. finely chopped green pepper
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
1/4 c. dry bread crumbs
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. instant beef bouillon
5 hamburger buns, split and toasted

1. Place bacon on microwave rack in baking dish. Cover with paper towel and microwave rack in baking dish. Cover with paper towel and microwave on high (100%) until nearly crisp, 3 to 5 minutes and drain. 2. Mix remaining ingredients except hamburger buns; shape into 5 patties, each about 3/4 inch thick. Criss-cross 2 half slices bacon on each patty. Arrange patties on microwave rack in baking dish. Cover with paper towel and microwave on high (100%) 3 minutes; rotate baking dish 1/2 turn. Microwave until patties are almost done, about 2 minutes longer. Let stand 3 minutes. Serve in hamburger buns.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
