2 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. salt
1 tbsp. alum
1 tbsp. oil

Mix ingredients together. Add 1 3/4 cups boiling water and mix well (add food coloring, if desired). Knead carefully to assure smooth clay. May be sticky until it cools.
