JEWISH APPLE CAKE | |
1/2 c. sugar 4 tsp. cinnamon 3 c. flour 2 c. sugar 3 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 c. oil 4 eggs 4 apples, peeled and cored 1/2 c. orange juice Mix 1/2 c. sugar and cinnamon in bowl, put aside. Add apples. In another mixing bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Make a well in the center and add orange juice, oil and eggs. Beat well. Pour half batter into a well-greased tube pan. Arrange half of the apples, then the rest of the batter, then more apples. Bake at 350 degrees 45 to 55 minutes. |
