GLOSSY CHOCOLATE FROSTING 
2 tbsp. butter
1 square chocolate or 2 rounded tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 tbsp. hot water
1 c. powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. salt

Melt shortening and chocolate in saucepan. Remove from heat. Add salt, sugar, and vanilla. Stir to a crumb mixture. Add boiling water. Beat until smooth and thick. Covers 9x13 inch cake.

I really liked this recipe. SUPER easy. I added just 2 tsp. of corn syrup to make it shiny and then added the boiling water (I did a double boiler to melt the butter and chocolate and used the water from THAT as my hot water). I added the water 1 tsp. at a time as it was whipping so I could watch it. All told, I probably DID add about 2 1/2 tbsp. of water (like the recipe said). Frosted the cake like a dream. Was so manageable and the taste was pure yum. Thank you for sharing your recipe :)
