BANANA CAKE 
1 yellow cake mix
3 very ripe bananas
1/2 c. chopped nuts

ICING:

5 tbsp. flour
1 c. milk
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts

Make cake according to directions on package. Mix and add bananas and nuts. Bake in 2 layers according to package directions. Cool.

ICING: Mix flour and milk. Cook slowly on medium heat until very thick (like stiff custard). Stir often. Cool thoroughly. Add butter, Crisco, sugar and vanilla. Beat a full 5 minutes with electric mixer. Sprinkle nuts between layers and on top when frosting. Keep cake refrigerated.
