CHOCOLATE BANANA PASSOVER CAKE | |
This cake is the one served for dessert at the March Sisterhood Meeting. 1 (12 oz.) box Manischewitz chocolate cake mix 1 egg 1/4 c. water 1/2 c. mashed bananas Add 1 egg and 1/4 cup water to the cake mix and mix. Then add mashed banana and mix again. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. You can use the pecan in the cake mix and frost with the fudge frosting included with the mix or double the recipe and bake in 2 (8 inch) pans. Cut each layer in half to make 4 layers and frost with whipped cream. This becomes a very fancy and easy treat. I only serve Chocolate-Banana Cake at Passover at my house. It's become tradition. Hope you enjoy. |

I followed the recipe as written to bake. Waited for it to cool and then used the frosting included. Did not cut the cake to make layers and didn't use whipped cream either because I didn't have any. Loved it! It was quick, easy and delicious! The house also smelled like banana bread.
Will be keeping this recipe in my recipe file! THANK YOU FOR SHARING!
