BROCCOLI AND CHEESE CASSEROLE | |
1 box frozen broccoli (sm. size), chopped 1 jar Cheez Whiz, 12 oz. (other cheese sauces do not work as well) 1 can cream of mushroom soup or cream of celery 1 pkg. instant rice 1 c. seasoned bread crumbs (if desired) Salt and pepper to taste Preheat oven 350 degrees. Boil frozen chopped broccoli and instant rice together until tender. Drain off excess water. Put all ingredients into a dish that can be used in the oven. Stir well. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 20 minutes or until soup and cheese sauce has come to a boil. Remove from oven and let stand for 5-8 minutes until casserole becomes firm. Garnish with bread crumbs. Serves 6-8 people |
