MOTHER'S HOT TAMALE PIE 
1 lb. ground meat
1 bell pepper, chopped
1 can tomato sauce
1 lg. onion, chopped
Garlic, chili powder, to taste
3 to 4 ribs of celery

Saute onions, bell pepper, and celery in small amount of fat. Add meat, salt, pepper, chili powder, and cook until brown. Add tomato sauce. Grease dish and put layer of mush and layer of meat, repeat until you use all meat, ending with a layer of mush on top.

MUSH:

2/3 c. cornmeal
1/3 c. water
1 tall can of Pet milk
Butter

Slowly mix meal, salt, and water. Add milk slowly, add butter stirring constantly. Cook until thick, cool. I think some cheese would be good. Cook at 350 degrees until mush is slightly golden brown.
