BERIT'S CHEESE SOUFFLE | |
6 slices bread 1/4 c. soft butter 2 1/2 c. diced American cheese 3 slightly beaten eggs 2 1/2 c. milk 1/4 tsp. dry mustard Diced green chilies to taste Spread butter on bread, cut into quarters. Alternate layers of bread and cheese in buttered 9x9 inch baking dish with cheese as top layer. Combine eggs, milk, and seasoning. Pour over bread and cheese. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. Test with knife as for custard; when knife comes out clean, it is done. Serves 6. |
