JEWISH APPLE CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1 c. oil
3 c. flour
4 eggs
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. orange juice

Beat together until batter is smooth. Make a mixture of 2 lbs. of apples, sliced and peeled, 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tablespoon cinnamon.

Grease and flour a large tube pan. Put 1/2 batter into pan, 1/2 apple mixture, batter, apples. Dot with butter and bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
