ALL DAY SPAGHETTI SAUCE AND
MEATBALLS

3 large cans tomato juice
1 small can tomato paste
3 cloves fresh garlic, chopped
1/2 small chopped onion, sautéed in butter
3 tsp. granulated sugar
add your favorite meatball recipe, rolled and browned but not fully cooked

Pour tomato juice in large kettle or pot. Add tomato paste, chopped garlic, onion and sugar. Stir until blended. Put pot on burner and simmer 6 to 8 hours, stirring throughout cooking time until thickened. Sauce will dwindle down as you cook as water from the juice dissipates during cooking.

Note: You can add small amounts of sugar throughout cooking times to your liking if too tart. But be careful not to add too much at a time (about 1/2 teaspoon each time) and continue simmering in between adding sugar for at least an hour in between. Taste before adding to be sure not to add too much and not too sweet. You want a little bit of tartness.

Pour over pasta with your favorite meatballs and enjoy!
