PUMPKIN BREAD 
2/3 cup shortening
4 eggs
16 ounce can pumpkin
1/3 cup water
2 cups sugar
3 - 1/3 cups flour
2 baking soda
1 -1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 cup coarsely chopped nuts
2/3 cup raisins

Cream shortening. Stir in eggs, pumpkin and water. Sift dry ingredients together. Add flour mixture to pumpkin mixture. Stir in coarsely chopped nuts and add raisins. Pour into 9 x 5 x 3 inch well greased loaf pans.

Bake at 350°F for about 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted in center.
