CRANBERRY COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 c. milk
1 egg
3 c. sifted flour
2 1/2 c. fresh cranberries, chopped
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. candied fruit
1 tbsp. orange peel

Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Beat in milk and egg. Mix and sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; stir into creamed mixture. Blend well. Stir in candied fruit, orange peel and cranberries. Mound 2 level tablespoons on well greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes. Makes about 3 1/2 dozen.
