MILK CHOCOLATE PECAN BARS 
COOKIE BASE:

1 c. flour
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 c. softened butter

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl combine flour, brown sugar, baking soda, and salt; mix well. Cut in butter with pastry blender until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Press evenly into greased 9x13 pan. Bake 10 minutes.

TOPPING:

12 oz. milk chocolate chips
2 eggs
1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped pecans, divided

Melt chocolate chips over hot (not boiling) water; remove from heat. In small bowl combine eggs, brown sugar, vanilla, and salt; beat 2 minutes at high speed. Add melted chocolate; mix well. Stir in 1/2 cup pecans. Pour topping over cookie base; sprinkle with 1/2 cup pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool, cut into bars.
