ICE BOX ROLLS
2 tbsp. yeast in 1/2 c. warm water
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
2 eggs
4 tbsp. sugar or honey
1 c. warm water or potato water
1 c. flour
4 tbsp. oil
2 tbsp. melted butter
4 1/2 c. flour

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add sugar. When yeast is dissolved, add salt, eggs, sugar or honey, and warm water or potato water. Add 1 cup flour, mix and add oil and melted butter. Add 4 1/2 cups flour or enough to make dough soft but not sticky. Knead and let rise once.

Shape into rolls. Put in greased pan and let rise. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until brown. Can be left in refrigerator overnight. If left overnight, see if they need to be punched down before going to bed. Make into rolls while cold. Let rise 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Bake at 375 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Makes about 2 dozen rolls.
