BARBECUED GREEN BEANS 
3 (1 lb.) cans cut green beans, drained
3/4 c. light brown sugar
1/2 c. catsup
1/3 c. dark corn syrup or syrup
1 tsp. liquid smoke
1 med. onion, finely chopped
4 strips bacon

Or 3 lbs. frozen or fresh, blanched in water to cover for about 1 minute, then plunged into ice water.

Place beans in 2 quart casserole. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In separate bowl, mix brown sugar, catsup, corn syrup, liquid smoke and onion until well blended. Add to beans and mix well. Top with raw bacon strips. Bake, uncovered for 1 hour at 325 degrees. Makes 12 servings.
