LASAGNA 
1 lb. ground meat (optional) browned and drained
1 (28 to 30 oz.) spaghetti sauce
1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce
1 c. water

1 (15 oz.) Ricotta (cottage cheese)
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp. dried parsley
1 egg, beaten (optional)

8 oz. (9 pieces) lasagna noodles
3 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese

Pour a little sauce over the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan. Arrange 3 pieces of uncooked pasta over sauce (pasta will expand while cooking). Layer as follows (using 1/3 of sauce) : Sauce, ricotta cheese, 1 cup Mozzarella, sauce, 3 noodles. Repeat. Top with remaining sauce. Cover with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup Mozzarella cheese. Let stand for 10 minutes.

Choosing ingredients carefully can make a "low fat" lasagna.
