GINGER SNAP COOKIES 
3/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 tbsp. light molasses

Mix well. Shape into 1 inch balls and roll in sugar. Do not flatten. Place on ungreased pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes.
