GINGER BREAD COOKIES 
1 stick and 3 tbsp. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. light molasses
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cloves

Cream sugar and butter; add egg and molasses. Beat well. Add sifted ingredients and mix well. Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees about 10 minutes.
